The Study Without Stress Program is designed to target the difficulties many students have in coping with stress during the final years of high school. The program teaches students cognitive and behavioural skills to manage the stress of the increased workload and pressure for performance associated with the final years of school.
This kit is for the instructor who is usually a psychologist, school counsellor or teacher with training in cognitive behavioural therapy to conduct the Study Without Stress Program in clinical or school settings. The facilitator’s manual describes in detail how to conduct each session of the program including exercises and comments to assist successful implementation. Also included is one copy of the student’s workbook.
Updated version. Based on feedback, the SWOS program has been updated to incorporate relaxation skills to assist students to further reduce stress levels. The facilitator manual now includes two alternate presentation formats (8 sessions of 1 hour, or 6 sessions of 1.5 hours) so that facilitators can choose a format that best suits their needs. The student workbook has been reformatted to make it easier to use. The same core skills remain in this evidence-based program, however, the new manuals make the program easier to follow and complete.
PLEASE NOTE: Each client requires their own workbook. Photocopying workbooks is a copyright infringement. Additional workbooks can be purchased via this shop.
